Song of the Day

It's shaping up to be a busy week for Miss Laurel. Not only does she have a string of gigs with JaLaLa starting tomorrow, but a song from a project near and dear to her heart was chosen as National Public Radio's Song of the Day yesterday.

The track, Blue Skies, is from an album she did with the late Killian Mansfield. Killian was a young ukulele player stricken with cancer who died this past August at the age of sixteen. His courageous struggle to continue to make music in spite of grave illness was a source of inspiration to all who knew him.

Proceeds from Killian's CD Somewhere Else benefit the Killian Mansfield Foundation whose mission is to help young people with cancer and other serious illnesses through integrative health care.
